good and bad music sites.

Here are some good and some bad music websites that i have found on the internet,

Itunes:

Itunes isnt the type of site that i did beacuse you can buy music from this site, but it isnt just a site. you can download itunes onto your computer which you can use to store all of your music from your ipod the photo above is what you see on apple.com you can download itunes from this site.

The printscreen above is what itunes looks like when you have it downloaded onto your computer, on the right hand side you can see the 10 most popular singles being bought on itunes at the moment, you can but all sorts of things on itunes .e.g movies, audiobooks, music videos, apps, music, games and so on.

This is the index page i made for my capture site using Dreamweaver. It took a bit of time to get used to due to the face i hadn't used it in over 4 years, i basically tought myself how to use this programme as i usually learn how to use programmes fairly quick by myself as i tought myself how to use photoshop when i was in year 10 and have been using it non stop after that. Basically this is my index page for my site, I made the background in photoshop adding the colored beams of light using the magnetic tool and the blur tool, i also added Tinie Tempah into the background on the left due to that this site is about tinie and JLS so i used photoshop to place him into the picture and i think it fits quite well. But the text in the middle im not to keen on as i couldn't move it anywhere and still haven't found how to format objects so that you can place them anywhere.

These two pictures here are of my home screen on the site. At the top there is a banner with Tinie & JLS in which i made in photoshop which took me a while but i am pretty proud of it, the colored stars i made in photoshop i thought it went well becasue JLS each have their own colors so i added this into the theme of the background but i added a fourth color because this site was about Tinie to. This page is just kind of an update page with the pictures and text.

This page is about the site and what will be included into it, its just basic information on the site and what its about.

This page is about JLS, i basically tells you all of the info and stuff you would want to know about JLS if you liked them. At the bottom there are video links that you just need to press on and the video comes up automatically so that you can watch some stuff on the boys, the background for this page is also a design i made in photoshop and one of my favorites.

For our project we had to make a draft website of something of our choice preferably something that we like, the subject of my work was music as i really love music and probably don’t know what I would do without it. The key theme is R&B music as that Is my favourite genre on all of the music types although I do listen to all of the other genres from time to time, my site was mainly based on two different types of musicians they are JLS who are my favourite boyband ever, I can say I have never liked a boyband like this before this is what I call an obsession but in a good way and an other one of my favorite’s has to be the man himself Tinie Tempah who is an amazing rapper and who I also am a huge fan of. I chose these musicians because I knew that I would be interested in writing about them and making a site to, I have got to say I did get a bit distracted whilst doing this project as it did get boring after a while but I managed to complete the work eventually. My successes where that I know practically everything about the band I had chosen and knew that I would be able to crack on the with the work without having to research every five minutes when I wanted to know something. Also I have seen the band a number of times in concert so I had my own resources to add to my work. In future projects I would definitely use Photoshop as I know this programme inside and out as I have used it for about 3 years, I was able to do backgrounds for the website and make the layouts in this programme. I wouldn’t do anything differently next time if we did this again to be honest I think I did it all in my own pace and enjoyed some of the work we where set along the way.

When I started off my website I knew there would probably be some copyright issues due to the fact that I would have to use other photographers pictures of JLS and Tinie Tempah to let the viewers have a clear view of them. So I talked to my uncle who is really good with technology and everything in that kind of place and he said to me that if I wasn’t getting any money for the site it would be fine to use other peoples pictures, just as long as I wasn’t getting payed for showing other people photos. So after that I felt a bit better and more confident about the project.

I had a few problems with using dreamweaver because I have only ever used it once and that was nearly two years ago but I eventually got my head around the basic side of it.

I enjoyed this project but not as much as I thought I would overall I am happy will my chosen topic and end project.

I like the brushes i have used to make the background to the website but i might change the background colour to a brighter colour as i think this colour is a bit dull.

How I am going to capture my ideas for my website

I am planning on doing a website about some of my favorite artists/musicians with a lot of information and videos and pictures of the certain artists I like. I am going to get some photos of one of the bands I am doing I can get pictures and videos for myself as I am seeing them in concert but for the other artists I will have to get my videos from an online source like YouTube and photo archive sites.
